Primary resource- Tea Party Elections

Tea Party Primer Strategy

by Reasonsjester

Reference Resource site: Tea Party Elections

[Dave]This is an extensive database and cross resource site for key strategic races in the primaries across the country and those in other parts of the country are proving how they vote affects us all.  Helping in key races in this election is more important than ever.
Local conservative candidates should keep their information that becomes out of date updated by contacting the website administrator.

The American people have had enough. Betrayed by phony conservatives in the Republican Party and radicals in the Democrat Party, the time is now to repeal or shred every bit of un-American legislation passed by the “progressives” in both parties over the last eighty, if not one hundred years.

The time for sitting on the sidelines and waiting for our fellow Americans to pick up the mantle of freedom has run out, as most of us realize. We must organize, act boldly, confront, and dethrone the usurpers who would have us live out their fantasy of servitude to them and their obsolete causes.

Richard Viguerie of American Thinker sums up the basic strategy in his Tea Partiers and The New Party Leaders well:

Here are my five recommendations to Tea Partiers as to how to change both major political parties:

1. To paraphrase Bill Clinton advisor James Carville, “It’s the primaries, Stupid.” Tea Partiers should focus only on primaries now, and not focus on the upcoming November elections just yet. In the primaries, challenge every establishment, big-government incumbent. Conservatives winning in primaries will make the November elections a  more significant chance for meaningful, long-term change. Over half of the filing deadlines have not yet passed.

2. Support candidates who will vote to fire their party leaders.

3. Withhold support from all Republican or Democratic national committees, and give your donations directly to principled conservative candidates.

4. In addition to running and supporting candidates for public office, run for every possible party office. The best way to get a political party to change is to take it over.

5. Rove said that Tea Partiers need to study key issues. Quite frankly, Tea Partiers already know the issues. Despite the fact that many are new to organized politics, they are savvy and wise about the direction the country needs to take. They do, however, need to read and study more than the Constitution, the Federalist Papers, and other writings of the Founders, although those are, of course, the essential foundations. They should read and study the writings of great but more recent conservative thinker-activists such as Mark Levin, Bill Buckley, Russell Kirk, Barry Goldwater (The Conscience of a Conservative), and others. Tea Partiers will then better know who they are politically, will better understand what they believe, and will possess even better clarity about why they believe it. By reading conservative thinker-activist writings from the past half-century, Tea Partiers will be better able to educate, enlist, convert, and successfully debate others.

As a postscript to these five recommendations, I would add that Tea Parties should support only candidates who will pledge to repeal many of the laws, regulations, programs, and policies of recent big-government politicians — and by that I mean both Republicans and Democrats. Also, any candidate who does not identify upholding the Constitution as one of his or her top five priorities should be suspect.

As a multi-decade veteran of the conservative movement, I can say that two of its biggest mistakes have been to become too attached to big-government Republican Party leaders and to fail to make inroads into the Democratic Party. The Tea Party can change that.

Tea Partiers need to remember that you are the leaders you’ve been waiting for. We all need to get out of our comfort zones and provide leadership to take back America — and that starts with changing the Republican and Democratic Party leaders.

Many of us are in hyper-partisan districts with no chance of removing an entrenched progressive from power.  Like a tic that has embedded its teeth into the electorate, attempting to pull the body out will only leave the head in place.  PUT YOUR TIME AND MONEY WHERE YOU WILL MAKE THE MOST IMPACT.

In addition to organizing family and friends to vote for the best available candidate, volunteer your time and funding to the most trustworthy candidates with the best chance to succeed.  Who is trustworthy?  Those with consistent conservatism scores, both recent and lifetime, and those who are receiving most of their money from individuals and not corporations.

We must act, but we must not act blindly. And that is why, with the help of many of the members here, I compiled a database that can be put to use to isolate, personalize, and polarize the seemingly innumerable statists who seek a return to their seats of power in November. Are we going to allow that to happen? Hell no!

July 17th Action Alert: Seattle Sons and Daughters of Liberty

Friday is important!

We need to show up in numbers to let it be known that Government Health Care is a sick idea!

Here is Liberty Belle’s Action Alert!

Fight Government Run Health Care!

When: Friday, July 17th
Time: 9:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Where: Every WA State Representative and Senator’s office across the state

“We the People” must send this message to Congress: millions of us, across the country, taking it to the streets in a simultaneous protest against the mighty effort to deprive us of our right to determine our own health care choices.

From Florida to Washington, from Maine to California, from Alaska to Hawaii and everywhere in between you and thousands of other Tea Party Patriots will assemble together outside the offices of those who are elected to represent us, and make our voices heard once again.

We need you and anyone else you can bring in order to achieve our goal of having massive numbers to make our point outside every single district office in the country. Take 1 hour off of work on July 17th to show up and speak out.

You need to find the WA State Representative or Senator nearest to you, so please visit Tea Party WA where you will find a comprehensive list of office locations as well as other information. To RSVP please go here.

Bring signs and letters to give to your Representative or Senator. There will be no formal agenda, no speakers, no sound systems. Just citizens fighting the Goliath sized government with their bare hands. We need every body available! If you absolutely cannot make it, please fax your letter or call during that same time period.

Keep in mind that we are the only ones fighting the massive army of Organizing for America (Obama’s activists from the campaign), who are currently working day and night to support a government run health care system. Check out their event search page to see how many events they are planning in your neighborhood! There are a lot, and that means we need to fight harder!!

Never stop fighting.

In liberty,

Liberty Belle

OLYMPIA TEA PARTY ! Bob Basso will perform!

June 21, 2009

Ken Morse, Olympia Tea Party Organizer

Keli Carender, Seattle Sons & Daughters of Liberty

Washington Tea Party Movement

Tea Party Patriots

These are just a few of the things said about this provocative personality:

“This guy ought to run for President!”

“Just another old motherf***er white racist who doesn’t understand we’re all global now, man”

“I don’t agree with everything he says, but at least he has the guts to say what the majority of Americans are afraid to say in public.”

OLYMPIA, WA – YouTube sensation, actor, author, and historian Bob Basso will perform as the legendary colonial patriot, Thomas Paine, author of the 1776 pamphlet Common Sense, at the State Capitol Tea Party Picnic on June 27 at Heritage Park in Olympia. Basso’s reprise of an award-winning performance has been seen more than a Eight-Million + YouTube hits in the riveting video series “Thomas Paine and the Second American Revolution.”

More than 6,000 people are expected to bring picnics, flags, costumes, and signs of all kinds to Heritage Park at Capitol Lake for an exciting afternoon of inspirational speakers, singers and the opportunity to meet other Washington citizens dedicated to restoring our nation’s founding principles of limited government, fiscal responsibility, and free markets.  Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes and participants will have the opportunity to “re-sign” the US Constitution.

Basso believes, as did his historical alter ego, that an aroused citizenry rising above politics and demanding a restoration of common sense can’t be stopped. He pounds that theme home relentlessly. “Pressure, pressure, pressure your non-representing representatives to obey the will of the majority or be thrown out on their hind quarters,” he says.

The Olympia Tea Party Picnic is being held in conjunction with other Tea Parties scheduled across the country the week of June 28 – July 4. Tea Parties are sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots, the grassroots organization formed after the first Tea Parties were held in 27 cities across the nation on February 27, 2009 in protest of the sub-prime mortgage disaster, the TARP bank fiasco as well as financial and insurance industry bailouts and the highly controversial $786 billion “stimulus” package.

“Declaring Our Health Care Independence” is the theme of Fourth of July celebrations across the country. “Keeping our right to make our health care decisions without government interference and fighting the imposition of a government-mandated, -run, and -administered health care system is our immediate goal,” says Olympia organizer Ken Morse. “We’re also fighting the passage of the massive “Cap-n-Trade” bill driven by the unproven and controversial global warming theory. If passed, this legislation will impose an energy tax on every aspect American life and endanger any potential financial recovery.”

Other speakers begin at 11:00 AM and include:

  • Floyd G. Brown, an American author, speaker and media commentator. He is president of Excellentia Inc, a consulting company specializing in non-profit organizational strategy, development and marketing. Brown has also worked as a political consultant and conducted opposition research for political campaigns. Brown says “I have a sense of what connects with people like me. We’re not culturally Republicans. We’re not libertarians. We’re not neo-conservatives or former liberals. These are people who couldn’t care less about politics, want to be left alone by government, but if their country calls for them to fight abroad, will. You win elections by cultivating people like me.”
  • Tim Eyman, sponsor of Initiative 1033, a bill to reduce property taxes by limiting the growth of certain state, county and city revenue to annual inflation and population growth (not including voter-approved revenue increases). Revenue collected above the limit would reduce property tax levies. Mr. Eyman is well-known throughout Washington for his fight to lower state taxes and fees on Washington citizens.
  • Alex Glasenapp, Citizens for HJM 4009, a group of citizens taking action with a mission to promote public support and awareness of House Joint Memorial 4009, a bill acknowledging and endorsing the 10th amendment rights of the United States Constitution for the citizens of the great State of Washington. Allen resides in Monroe and is an associate broker in real estate and also co-owner/agent of a family owned and operated independent insurance agency.
  • Sharon Hanek, “Making Your Tea Party Voice Stronger!” Sharon Hanek is a business owner, wife, and mother involved in politics as a private citizen. Over the past six years she has spent many hours in Olympia during legislative session testifying on bills and discussing issues with legislators from both sides of the aisle.  She also travels around the state working with grassroots activists to become more effective in getting their voices heard.
  • Carl Pike on hosting a Tea Party Barbeque; Alex Rion on auditing the Federal Reserve; and activists Ken Morse, Jane Milhans, Keli Carender, & Dan Rehling on networking and moving forward with other Tea Party issues.

The public is welcome to attend this free event at Heritage Park, which is located at 330 Fifth Ave SW in Olympia. Festivities are set to begin at 10:00 am, with live entertainment at approximately 10:30 am. “Thomas Paine” is scheduled to perform at approximately 1 pm. The Tea Party will conclude at 4 pm.

Dallas Tea Party billed as~”America’s Tea Party”

Obama and his minions have a problem!

Seems they forgot America is filled with good old fashioned freedom loving patriotic souls called Americans!

Across the land this Fourth of July our Independence celebrations are going to mean a little more than in years past.

Our heritage and our traditions and even our very freedom have come under a relentless attack by an elitist crowd of leftists intent on transforming America into a drab and dreary society with no hope of getting out from under their controlling thumbs!

Seems like they forgot freedom loving people do not shrink or fall at their feet just because they demand it!  We are Americans  after all, born of revolution and fierce defenders of freedom and liberty with a very long history of fighting to preserve it!

This Independence Day is going to be special all over the country!

Dallas has a grand extravaganza planned for their event billed as America’s Tea Party

to be held on the world-famous  Southfork Ranch of Dallas fame.

Nationally-known speakers – World-famous musicians – Fantastic fireworks extravaganza – Food, fun and more!Tens of thousands of citizens from Texas and around the region are expected to turn out on July 4, 2009 for America’s Tea Party, a FREE rally and fireworks show to be held at the famous Southfork Ranch near Dallas, TX. Southfork is internationally known as the film location for the legendary “Dallas” television series.

Meanwhile Nashville is not to be out done, with it’s own all-star lineups of speakers entertainers, and more in the July 2,2009 Nashville Patriotic Revival Rally

sponsored and organized by Tea Party Nation members

Come kick off your July 4th weekend with a family friendly event in Downtown Nashville! We will have a pre-Tea Party mixer/meet and greet from 4 – 6 with music, information booths and more. At 6 the Tea Party begins with Blue Collar Muse Ken Marrerro hosting, Ralph Bristol of Talk 99.7, Laurie Cardozo Moore from Proclaiming Justice to the Nations and our Special Keynote Speaker, the Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson of Rev. Peterson will speak to us about the dangers of Socialism in America. You won’t want to miss this, so mark your calendars! This event is going to be BIG!!!!!

Of course in our own area there are dozens of events listed and you can use the new coalition of organizations for Washington State WA Tea Party Movement to find one you wish to attend.

All across the land the “second wave” has begun, the “surge” if you will.

The Independence Day surge and beyond

We are organized now, we have numbers, we have economic power, and we are coming on strong!

The “statists” are unprepared for the backlash they have caused.  Like the aftermath of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor in WWII caused Admiral Isoroku Yamamoto to utter the words “I fear all we have done is to awaken a sleeping giant”, so too will these socialist liberal Democrats who have run amok with their excessive power find  out they have also awakened the heart and soul of America!
